Welcome to HON 115: Narrative Medicine: Stories of Health and Illness!
Narrative Medicine:Stories of Health and Illness introduces students to the theory and practice of narrative medicine. Students will learn about approaches to medical care that respond to and incorporate stories about health, illness, and providing healthcare. Students will use literature and their own writing to learn about a new “tool” in the modern medicine bag– how peoples’ stories of health and illness influence medical care, patient experience, and our broader cultural understanding of medicine, health, and illness.
